Black & white
Once again, an exercise from the artistic conception class which has finally resumed after about a two month break. The goal was to create an interesting and visually balanced composition using only black and white letters (black letters on white background and white letters on black background actually) which we had to cut out of various magazines. I cheated a little bit by working on the computer, because often times I wanted to paste the letters without any background at all. That is why I found that rather than getting rid of the background with a cutter (takes forever!) it is much easier to use the fonts in Photoshop. This one is done in Times New Roman, a nice font for that kind of exercise with just a white background.
